Bach Flower Remedies
Dr. Bach believed that the disharmonies between the spiritual and mental aspects were to be found where ever conflicting moods produced unhappiness, lassitude, mental torture, fear, depression and resignation, lowering the vitality of the body and opening the door to disease. For this reason he prepared the remedies to treat the mind and spirit so we can become more ourselves. This results in an increase in vitality as we draw from inward strength and inward peace. The remedies can also help us become more aware of our inner guidance protecting us against external influences...

Dr. Edward Bach discovered the Bach Flower remedies in the 1930’s. Dr Bach, a very successful medical practitioner and researcher, gave up his lucrative practice to look into nature’s laboratory for cures for the ills of mankind, which he believed stemmed from disharmonies between heart and spirit. He felt that our mental states, emotions and attitudes open the path to the production of illness, and that the bodily ills are just symptoms.

Dr. Bach discovered the plants whose essences could safely, without side effects remove the causes of disease. He divided the 38 remedies into 7 groups.

1.      For Fear

2.      For Uncertainty

3.      For Insufficient Interest in Present Circumstances

4.      For Loneliness

5.      For those Oversensitive to Influences and Ideas

6.      For Despondency or Despair

7.      For Over Care for Welfare of Others

The remedies can also help us become more aware of our inner guidance protecting us against external influences.

The ultimate message form Dr. Bach was that each of us should follow our life path and learn to lead it in freedom. Along our way we will come into contact with our fellow man that he urged we should help but without influence for our own profit; that each person is different and should be treated accordingly.

Dr. Bach was ultimately deregistered as a medical practitioner by the British Medical Association, because of his new medical directions. Dr. Bach replied without animosity or remorse that he preferred the term herbalist than Doctor.
