Dr Kavitha Karuna

Dr Kavitha relocated from Townsville and graduated from the James Cook University there in 2010. She completed her hospital training in Brisbane and over the last five years has been travelling around Queensland working in GP practices in Brisbane, Ipswich Toowoomba, Hervey Bay and Cairns.

She is particularly interested in paediatrics, women’s health, and family planning, as they are closely connected in supporting individuals and families across all stages of life. She is especially drawn to the intersection of fertility and reproductive health, where early intervention and education can have lasting impacts on both maternal and child well-being.

While she loves to travel, Kavitha is glad to be back in Brisbane.
