Maria graduated from the University of Sydney MD program, and has worked in Westmead, Auburn, Hornsby Hospitals and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She also obtained the Diploma of Child Health (written component), and has special interest in children’s and women’s health.

Prior to being a medical doctor, she worked as a research officer at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and has a PhD from the Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Sydney.

Maria is from Hong Kong, and speaks fluent Cantonese. She is also a mother of 3 young children, who constantly keep her on her toes.
