Meet Dr Sulaf Dawood
Dr Sulaf Dawood has special interests in cardiovascular, women’s health, emergency, Paediatrics, Mental health and general medicine.
Prior to joining the RACGP, she was working as a senior emergency registrar in major trauma and tertiary centres covering Victoria, including the Alfred, Frankston and the Northern hospital. She has worked in varied specialties including emergency medicine, acute medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and orthopaedics. Her broad hospital and extensive emergency experience, both provided her with a solid foundation for her work in general practice.
She enjoys the diversity of general practice with a particular interest in women’s health, family medicine, chronic disease management, child health. She is committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care with compassion which is great for building strong long-term relationships with patients.
Dr Dawood has a non judgemental approach and always practices shared decision making with her patients. She is well regarded amongst her patients. She is highly committed to quality healthcare, not only to treat diseases but also to maintain the patient’s health and quality of life. She is a passionate advocate for patient-centred care, taking a holistic approach to health, with an overall focus on well-being and illness prevention.
During her spare time, she enjoys gym work and spending time with her family and her two dogs.
