Meet Corney Wright
I particularly work with men's mental health, couples and relationships, burnout and resilience, work-life balance, life transitions, and behaviour change, including addiction and comfort or emotional eating.
I also support young adults and adults up to 65+ experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, workplace pressures, emotional regulation challenges, low self-esteem, motivation difficulties and other life challenges. I also work with clients navigating ADHD and autism-related challenges and NDIS plan-managed and self-managed clients.
I believe counselling provides a space to slow down, make sense of what is happening and understand what may be keeping you stuck. My approach is warm, respectful, collaborative and non-judgemental, with a focus on practical strategies and meaningful, sustainable change.
I provide individual counselling, couples counselling and hypnotherapy, tailored to each person's circumstances and goals. My approach draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches and trauma-informed practices.
Together, we can explore patterns that may no longer be serving you, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen resilience, improve relationships and navigate periods of change or uncertainty.
I understand that taking the first step towards counselling isn't always easy. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk openly about what is happening and work out where to go from there.
You don't have to work everything out on your own. Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation.
