    Meet Dr Phoebe Kho

    Phoebe Kho is a board-registered psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and PhD in Psychology from the University of Melbourne. She received her clinical psychology education and training in Malaysia and Australia. She is well verse at working with clients of various cultural backgrounds. Phoebe has served in several large-scale public hospitals in Malaysia and Australia.

    She has extensive experience in conducting psychometric assessments and constantly engages in the study and treatments with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, dissociative disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), unresolved grief, developmental disorders and learning difficulties. She has special
    interests in adult mental health, geriatric psychology, schizophrenia, dissociative disorder, PTSD, and grief and bereavement. Her therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, positive psychology, motivational interview, schema therapy and mindfulness.

    Her treatment principle is to work with her clients to help them understand and overcome their problems and behaviour patterns (cause and effect of unhelpful behaviours), and to challenge the way they view themselves and the world. She speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Malay, Cantonese, Hokkien and Teow Chew.
