    Qualifications:

    BA., BBSc., Grad.Dip.Psych., Grad.Dip.FDR., M.Psych (Counselling)., M.A.P.S. 

    Hara is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of work experience in mental health. She has extensive expertise in working with a range of mental health and emotional issues. Hara provides sensitive counselling to adults, adolescence and older adults and seeks to meet the specific needs of each individual. Her therapeutic work draws on Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapies and Solution-Focused Therapy.

    She seeks to create a safe and supportive environment based on respect and compassion, to assist individuals to explore their concerns, gain a greater awareness of themselves and the problems they are confronting. Hara assists individuals to explore how to adjust to their circumstances by drawing on their strengths and coping strategies in order to empower individuals to manage their concerns and make meaningful life changes to live a happier and more optimistic life.

    Her expertise extends to assisting individuals to deal with High Conflict Personalities who are ‘abusive, argumentative, controlling, intimidating and, or blaming’ towards others. She seeks to assist clients to understand and manage the most difficult and conflict-prone individuals, whether they are family members, work colleagues, neighbours or acquaintances.
