    FAQs

Everything you need to know about Mentone Medical Centre

    • Do you send appointment reminders?
Yes, we utilise the Automed booking system to send SMS reminders. You will typically receive a reminder the day before your appointment. Please reply "Y" to confirm your appointment. If you reply "N", your appointment will be automatically cancelled. Note that you cannot cancel via SMS if your appointment is less than 3 hours away. Non-attendance without adequate notification may attract a cancellation fee.
    • What if I am running late for my appointment?
If you anticipate being late, please call our reception team. They will advise you on the best course of action. We will do our best to accommodate your needs if you arrive late without prior notice.
    • What if my doctor is running late for my appointment?
Due to the nature of general practice, doctors may run behind schedule. We recommend calling the clinic prior to your appointment time for an update on your doctor's schedule. Our reception team will provide the most accurate estimate closer to your appointment time.
    • How do I get my test results?
Test results follow-up should be discussed with your doctor at the time of referral. Generally, normal results or those not requiring further action will be communicated via SMS within 7 days of being reported. If further discussion is needed, your doctor may call you or request an appointment. Alternatively, you may receive an SMS asking you to return to discuss your results in person.
