Meet Margaret Wu
Dr Xiaoqin WU (Margaret) is a highly experienced Chinese medicine practitioner, academic, and researcher. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and a Master of Medical Science from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney.
Dr Wu has extensive clinical experience spanning over three decades. She has worked as a medical oncologist at the China–Japan Friendship Hospital and has been in continuous clinical practice as a registered Chinese medicine practitioner in Australia since 2007, including roles within integrative medical centres and private practice. She is currently a Practitioner Member of the Chinese Medicine Council NSW, contributing to regulatory decision-making, performance interviews, and the development and maintenance of professional standards in the public interest.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Wu is an experienced lecturer, tutor, and clinical supervisor at several Australian higher education institutions. She has a strong research profile with peer-reviewed publications in acupuncture, integrative medicine, oncology, and research methodology, and has been actively involved in national and international professional organisations.
