Meet Tayla Botha
Tayla is a warm, curious and down-to-earth psychologist who enjoys helping people better understand themselves and navigate life’s challenges. She believes that understanding our thoughts, feelings, relationships and patterns is often the first step towards meaningful change.
Tayla has experience working with children, teenagers and adults across a range of settings, supporting people with concerns such as anxiety, low mood, stress, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and life transitions.
She has a particular interest in neurodivergence, women’s mental health, relationships and the changes we experience throughout life. She enjoys working with people who want to make sense of what they’re going through, understand themselves more deeply, or find new ways of managing challenges that feel difficult or overwhelming.
Tayla takes a collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring her work to each person’s needs and goals. She draws on evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside mindfulness and other practical strategies. She aims to create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves, exploring what matters to them and talking openly without fear of judgement.
Tayla believes you don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether someone is dealing with a specific concern or simply feeling stuck and unsure where to start, she works alongside them to understand what’s happening and find a way forward that feels right for them.
