Meet Dr Erica Mon
Dr Erica Mon has been practising medicine since 2010, following the completion of her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
She subsequently pursued her passion for holistic patient care by undertaking General Practice training through the Generalist Medical Training (GMT) program at James Cook University in Queensland.
She later completed her specialist training in Family Medicine and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Prior to specialising in General Practice, Dr Mon gained extensive clinical experience working in a number of hospitals, including Launceston General Hospital in Tasmania, Ipswich Hospital, and Theodore Hospital in Queensland.
These roles provided her with a broad and diverse foundation across multiple areas of medicine.
Dr Mon enjoys all aspects of General Practice. She is especially passionate about supporting her patients to make meaningful, sustainable lifestyle changes, recognising that even small steps can lead to significant and lasting improvements in overall health and wellbeing.
She values the continuity of care that General Practice affords and is committed to building trusting, long-term relationships with her patients. Her approach is grounded in compassion, respect, and a genuine commitment to improving the health outcomes of those she serves.
Outside of her professional life, Dr Mon enjoys gardening, travelling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

- Women’s and children’s health, including antenatal care and fertility-related management
- Chronic disease management ,including diabetes and thyroid disorders
- Weight management
- Mental health conditions, particularly those associated with childhood trauma
- Minor surgical procedures, including insertion and removal of contraceptive implants, as well as excision and biopsy of skin lesions
