Meet Dr Ella Sood
Dr Ella (Fadzeela) Sood is a Sydney-trained GP with special interests in preventive health, pregnancy and preconception care, women and children’s health, chronic disease management, and mental health. She also provides care in disability medicine, WorkCover, student health, geriatrics, and travel medicine.
She completed her MBBS at the University of Sydney in 2011 and became a Fellow of the RACGP in 2018. Her early training included paediatrics, obstetrics/gynaecology, psychiatry, geriatrics, and oncology, and she has worked in a wide range of practices and aged care settings across Sydney.
Ella has presented research nationally on GP waiting room infection control, and has been involved in teaching medical students at UNSW since 2017. She holds additional qualifications in reproductive and sexual health, and is currently undertaking further studies in Integrative Medicine.
She is committed to providing high-quality, holistic medical care and believes in the value of lifelong learning to keep abreast of evolving medical knowledge and evidence-based practice. She is open to partnering with patients to explore appropriate complementary and alternative medicine options in addition to standard therapeutic approaches, to achieve wellness.
