    Meet Dr Leila Moghadas

Dr Leila Moghadas is a specialist General Practitioner and a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales.

Leila is deeply committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care. With extensive clinical experience across hospital medicine and general practice within Sydney’s public and private healthcare systems, she developed a strong interest in caring for individuals and families within the local community and chose to focus her career on general practice.

As a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Leila values the opportunity to understand her patients beyond their immediate medical concerns, support them in achieving their best possible health, and guide them through the challenges and transitions that life may bring.

Before focusing exclusively on general practice, Leila gained broad experience in the assessment and management of a wide range of medical conditions. This diverse clinical background has shaped her thorough, practical, and compassionate approach to patient care.

Her particular interests include preventive health, chronic disease management, women’s health, children’s health, and supporting patients with acute and complex medical concerns. She values the continuity of general practice and enjoys building long-term therapeutic relationships with individuals and families across all stages of life.

In addition to her clinical work, Leila is actively involved in the teaching and training of medical students at the University of New South Wales. She enjoys contributing to medical education and supporting the next generation of doctors as they develop their clinical knowledge and professional skills.

Outside of work, Leila enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, and being in nature.
