Growing up in Canberra, Dr Madeleine Black completed undergraduate studies in sport science and nutrition at the University of Canberra before completing her medical degree at Deakin University in Geelong in 2014. Dr Madeleine worked as an advanced trainee in emergency medicine for several years at the Alfred Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Northern Beaches Hospital before transitioning to general practice training in 2022.

Dr Madeleine enjoys a variety of practice including children’s health and has completed the Sydney Child Health Program. Additionally, she enjoys dermatology, working with older patients and end of life care. Dr Madeleine speaks conversational Portuguese and continues to study Portuguese language. Outside of work she enjoys reading, hiking and long beach days.
