Dr Poonam completed her undergraduate training in medicine and her post-graduation in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Mumbai, India. She moved to Australia in 2015 and had an opportunity to work across public hospitals like Manly hospital, Mona Vale hospital, Northern beaches hospital, Fairfield hospital and Blacktown district hospital. She completed her Fellowship in General practice in 2022 and since has worked across various clinics in Sydney.

As a General Practitioner, her aim is to provide exceptional patient experience that pivots on patient- centric care. Her primary objective is to facilitate her patients’ journey from “sickness to wellness to fitness” by prioritizing preventative care, lifestyle interventions, mental and emotional well-being. By placing a premium on preventative care, her goal is to help her patients avoid illnesses before they manifest and provide effective treatment when necessary.

In her free time, she loves to try new restaurants, watch movies, travel and read.
