Who is eligible for a free flu vaccination?
Flu vaccines are provided free of charge under the National Immunisation Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged six months and over, children aged six months to under five years, pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy, adults aged 65 years and over, and people aged six months and over with medical conditions that put them at higher risk of serious illness. Consult with your Myhealth GP to confirm your eligibility and learn more about what’s available in your area.
When should I get my flu vaccination?
To give the vaccine time to take effect, it’s best to get your flu shot as early as possible. Getting vaccinated early helps ensure you’re protected throughout the peak of flu season. Don’t wait, book your appointment today.
Important Notice to Our Patients
From 1 January 2025, MyHealth Newtown will be transitioning to a private billing model. This means that, moving forward, all consultations and services will be charged privately. Please note that payment will be required at the time of your appointment, and you may be eligible for Medicare rebates depending on your individual circumstances and the type of service provided.
We understand the ongoing needs of our community and are committed to supporting our patients. To ensure continued support:
• Regular patients of Dr. Lee and Dr. Girguis who hold a concession or health care card will continue to be bulk billed when seeing either of them.
• Concession or Health care card holders will incur a reduced gap fee of $30 should they chose to see any other doctors at the practice

Are you a bulk billing clinic?
We offer Mixed Billing consultations Monday to Saturday, with gap fees applied to Medicare card holders aged 16 and above and OVHC card holders. We continue to bulk bill DVA/Age Pensioners, Concession Card holders, and Children under the age of 16. -
I paid for my consult via the link sent to me, how do I receive my Medicare rebate?
You can submit this via your Medicare app or alternatively phone our reception team the same day as payment, and we can process this for you.

Yes, you will need to make an appointment for all scripts & referrals.
