Who is eligible for a free flu vaccination?
Flu vaccines are provided free of charge under the National Immunisation Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged six months and over, children aged six months to under five years, pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy, adults aged 65 years and over, and people aged six months and over with medical conditions that put them at higher risk of serious illness. Consult with your Myhealth GP to confirm your eligibility and learn more about what’s available in your area.
When should I get my flu vaccination?
To give the vaccine time to take effect, it’s best to get your flu shot as early as possible. Getting vaccinated early helps ensure you’re protected throughout the peak of flu season. Don’t wait, book your appointment today.

In order to keep up with rising costs and continue providing you with our services, we are now required to move to a mixed-billing model. This means that a $25 - $45 gap (out-of-pocket) fee will apply for GP consultations, both face-to-face and telehealth.
Non-medicare holder direct billing service will only be available for patients with their physical card or via their insurance Membership Apps. If the card is not able to be present on the day, a full amount of payment (inclusive of the gap fee) will be required.

Pricing/Fees
What is mixed billing?
Mixed-billing means that most patients will be paying a “gap fee” for their appointment. A gap payment out of pocket cost between Medicare rebate and our practice’s fee.
How will the fee be processed?
You will be charged the FULL AMOUNT of consultation fee to your credit or debit card at the end of your consultation. We then process your Medicare Rebate on behalf of you electronically. The rebate should appear in your bank account within 1-2 business days.
Alternatively, please bring your debit card with you on your visit and we can process your rebate on the spot.
Please make sure you have provided your updated Medicare details and sufficient funds in your account.
Non-Attendance / Cancellation Policy
After three consecutive missed appointments, a $30 cancellation fee will be applied for all General Practitioner (GP) visits in the event of another no-show.
For Allied Health appointments, a $30 cancellation fee will be charged for each missed appointment.
For appointments with the orthopaedic surgeon, Mr. Naveen Nara, a $50 cancellation fee will apply.

Are you a bulk billing clinic?
Myhealth The Glen is a mixed billing clinic, offering consultations Monday to Saturday with a gap fee of $25 for standard consultations (10 to 15 minutes) to patients aged 16 and over. Patients with concession cards, DVA cards, and children aged 15 and under will continue to be bulk billed. However, procedural fees may apply. Please ask reception for further details. Please note that telephone consultations after hours and on weekends will be privately billed for non-DVA, non-concession card holders, and children under 16. -
How is the gap fee paid?
In order to process the Medicare rebate, the amount payable after consultations will be the sum of the rebate and the corresponding gap fee depending on the length and complexity of the consultation. We can process the rebate instantly if patients are able to pay with a physical debit card.

Is there a Mandarin-speaking doctor here?
Currently, we do have a Mandarin-speaking GP registrar (GP-in-training) who will be with us until the end of this year. We also have a Mandarin-speaking nurse who can assist with translation while we actively search for a Mandarin-speaking GP.

Do you offer other services?
Yes, our clinic offers other services such as physiotherapy, podiatry, exercise physiology, diabetes education, psychology, and dietetics. There is a $15 gap fee for most allied health appointments; please enquire with reception or refer to our website for more details. Concession and DVA card holders, as well as children aged 15 and under, will be bulk billed when seeing the dietitian and podiatrist.
