Myhealth The Strand at Coolangatta is a Bulk Billing Medical Centre conveniently located on Level 1 at The Strand inside the Chempro Pharmacy.
This recently refurbished, purpose built centre offers the highest standard of medical care with state-of-the-art facilities. We pride ourselves in offering a friendly, convenient, accessible and professional service to all our patients.

Updated Billing Policy – In Line with the Medicare Universal Bulk Billing Initiative
From November 1, 2025 our billing policy has been updated to align with the new Medicare bulk billing initiative, providing Medicare-eligible patients the opportunity to access high-quality care with no out-of-pocket costs.
Please be sure to advise reception at the time of booking if you have a Health Care/Concession/Pension or DVA card, so we can add these to your files and avoid any unnecessary charges.
Whilst fees for Medicare-eligible patients can be bulk billed for many services, consultation fees are also outlined here to ensure transparency for all patients who choose the high-quality care at our clinic. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak with one of our friendly staff members.
Skin checks – $40 *gap fee.
Walk in/fit in appointments – $50 *gap fees will be charged for ALL GP consultations including telehealth/telephone consultations.
Procedure fees are in place for ALL patients and fees will vary depending on procedure. Examples of procedures include but are not limited to Iron Infusions, Implanon, Biopsies and Excisions. Fees will be discussed at the time of booking.
Please call the practice for information on fees or if you are experiencing financial hardship.
Immunisations (including baby and covid) and procedures cannot be booked online, please call the clinic to arrange a suitable time.
* Gap fee is your patient contribution to your consult/service. You will need to pay the full fee (Medicare rebate + gap fee) first in order to receive the Medicare rebate as a refund which will leave you out of pocket with a gap fee. Please call reception for further explanation if required.
Please note:
Telehealth [As per Medicare, must have had a face to face consult here at the practice within the last 12 months]
Face to face [Must have no cold and flu symptoms, if Cold and flu symptoms we can offer a telehealth appointment]
As per government mandates, masks are still mandatory in healthcare settings.

Non-Attendance / Cancellation Policy
Dear patients, please be advised that as of 11/09/2023, our cancellation policy has changed. If you can no longer attend your appointment, you will need to cancel or rebook via calling reception or declining the confirmation text so we can allocate your appointment to another patient. If you fail to advise less than 2hrs in advance, you will need to pay a $40 cancellation fee prior to your next appointment. If your appointment is between 7am-10am, the appointment will need to be cancelled the day prior. This is to ensure our doctors can give their patients the best possible care and service by opening up appointment slots that may go unused. Missed or cancelled appointments will be marked as a ‘did not attend’ appointment and will stay on your file for 1 year. This fee is to be paid prior to booking your next appointment with any provider and is not claimable with Medicare or Healthfunds.
